This video and sculpture deal with ways of seeing. How we look at things and how those things are perceived with all the historical and learned baggage of the individual are ideas that this piece speaks to. Since the completion of this first "peephole" many other pieces incorporating this kind of guided perspective have been made. Strangely enough, this first one is the only one in which the viewer is immediately implicated. It is as if you (the viewer) are on the other side as someone else is looking at you. The other pieces participate the viewer by provoking him or her to look in.
